MIKE OLDFIELD Special

Su padre Raymond fue un médico que tenía una guitarra que solía tocar la guitarra cada nochebuena, cantando la única canción que sabía tocar, Danny Boy.
A la edad de 10 años, Mike ya componía piezas instrumentales para guitarra acústica.
En 1967 dejó la escuela y junto con su hermana Sally formó Sallyangie, un dúo folk de voz y guitarra.

En junio de 1973, fue dado un concierto en vivo de Tubular Bells en el Queen Elizabeth Hall de Londres. Para ésta ocasión se unieron a Mike los guitarristas Mick Taylor (de los Rolling Stones), Steve Hillage (de Gong), Fred Frith (de Henry Cow) y Ted Speight. También participaron David Bedford, Kevin Ayers y Pierre Moerlen, el percusionista de la vanguardista banda de rock Gong y que sería uno de los fijos en la plantilla de músicos de Mike durante muchos años.
Mike Oldfield había soñado por mucho tiempo con el momento en que fuera editado Tubular Bells. Cuando aquello ocurrió no pudo aguantar la presión y aún exhausto emocionalmente por el proceso de grabación de Tubular Bells se retiró a su nueva casa de Herefordshire. Fue allí donde comenzó a crear su nueva obra que más tarde adoptaría el nombre de la cercana colina Hergest Ridge.

Iván Ferreiro y Nacho Mastretta ponen música a la peli 'Días azules'

La canción principal de película de Miguel Santesmases rodada íntegramente en Ferrol, Días azules, está compuesta por el ex cantante del grupo vigués Piratas, Iván Ferreiro, y en la banda sonora original se encuentra también música incidental compuesta para la ocasión por Nacho Mastretta.

Días azules, que se estrenará en verano de 2006, cuenta con un guión del mismo Santesmases y Martín Casariego (Amo tu cama rica) y tiene un presupuesto de tres millones de euros.

Sabeis que la música está por encima del bien y del mal pero hay que reconocer el mérito de Axl.
Mérito al no ceder en su empeño de sacar adelante un disco invisible y ridículo.
"En 1996 Slash decide irse de GN'R, un año más tarde Duff y Matt también dejan GN'R. Slash, Duff y Matt le venden el nombre Guns N' Roses a Axl Rose"
Seamos francos, esta banda compuso 5 Lp´s en 6 años...con sus canciones bonitas y llenas de energía y Axl ha necesitado 15 años para componer "Chinese Democracy"

Ahora que se ha demostrado que Axl no es tan genio como decía y
que ya no estará en las carpetas de las adolescentes por mucho que quiera...vale de algo para las generaciones pasadas o las futuras que G´NR edite un disco?
La versión DEMO de Chinese Democracy que está circulando por Internet nos da una idea de lo que nos espera. Mas de lo mismo??

Quiero imaginar un Axl Rose que ha aprendido en esos 15 años una nueva formula para presentar un disco y sorprendernos a tod@s.
